On my flight back from Convergence 2014 I'm reflecting on a fantastic few days. It's an event that delivers content at firehouse volumes. Convergence covers all things Microsoft Dynamics not just CRM although for me that is what I am interested in.

I had the pleasure last week of learning about a Dynamics CRM solution for construction. Now what do I mean when I say construction, I am not talking about a one-off build of a new home, I am talking about construction as it relates to building massive projects that are filled with red tape and very specific process that must be followed, with a major focus on compliance.

This year will be the third year I have attend Convergence and I am excited to be going. For the last year the Microsoft Dynamics product teams have been upping the ante, with more frequent releases with more functionality being added all the time.

Following on from my last post I will cover off the various roles and responsibilities of the User Group Committee. But before I do, I want to highlight this quote from my friend Julie Yack.

When I moved to Australia last year, I knew I wanted to be involved in the community side of Dynamics CRM – the open sharing of lessons learned and the sharing of knowledge that enables everyone to increase their skills and develop their career in Dynamics CRM.

Recently at Convergence 2013, the Microsoft Dynamics CRM team announced their acquisition of Swiss company Netbreeze. This post is based on my research and includes information about Netbreeze before it was acquired by Microsoft.

Recently I worked on a project designing a solution that allows local government to manage the culture items that have been collected over years of civic service. The public citizens of the area governed by the Local Government want easy access to view and is some case show items that make up the history of the area.
