Copilot App with over 1.5 Million Downloads and Free GPT-4

This post was originally published in 2024. Some details may have changed since then.

The Copilot App already has over 1.5 Million Downloads. ๐ฎ A big play for the consumer market.
Hereโs some key things about it: ๐๐ฝ
๐๐ฝ You Get Free Access to GPT-4 Technology:
This is significant as OpenAI's GPT app uses GPT-3.5 and charges for GPT-4 access.
๐๐ฝ It Functions Similar to ChatGPT:
Copilot, previously known as Bing Chat, operates similarly to OpenAI's ChatGPT, allowing you to interact with an AI chatbot, and create images using DALLE 3.
๐๐ฝ Image Creator Feature:
Includes a feature powered by DALLยทE 3 for generating creative visual content like logo designs, social media content, and storyboards.
๐๐ฝ It was a Quiet Launch:
You may not have heard about it as Microsoft Copilot was released on Android and iOS, including iPadOS, during the holiday season.
๐๐ฝ Expansion of Copilot's Availability:
Previously available only on the web, the mobile launch is an expansion of Copilot as a standalone service.
๐๐ฝ Rebranding and Future Plans:
Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat to Copilot in November. The future of the Bing app in relation to Copilot remains uncertain.
What are your thoughts on the Copilot App?

I found 268 plaintext secrets in my AI stack
Six weeks ago a security audit told me I had 268 plaintext secrets scattered across my AI agent platform. This week I closed out the migration that fixed it. Here is what I learned about credentials, AI agents, and the gap between what we build and what we secure.
