CoE and C4E
The 2 different mindsets π€ - Centre of Excellence (CoE) vs a Centre for Enablement (C4E). Centre of Excellence (CoE) Mindset: ππ½
1. Centralized Focus
Emphasizes central control and governance over processes and assets.
2. Expert-Dependent Engagement
Relies heavily on individual experts to directly interact with projects, offering their knowledge and guidance.
3. One-to-One Project Involvement
Experts are involved in a more hands-on, personalized approach with each project.
4. Top-Down Asset Provision
Assets are provided and controlled centrally, often leading to a more bureaucratic process.

Centre for Enablement (C4E) Mindset:
1. Federated Organisational Approach
A decentralised mindset, spreading knowledge and resources across the organisation.
2. Asset Accessibility
Focuses on creating and managing reusable assets that are easily discoverable and accessible to all IT and business projects.
3. Self-Service Model
Encourages a culture where teams can independently utilize available assets without needing direct intervention from experts.
4. Widespread Asset Distribution
Utilizes mechanisms that distribute assets broadly within the company, reducing dependency on individual experts for asset engagement and application.
In summary:
- CoE - centralized control and direct expert involvement
- C4E - decentralized, self-service model that makes resources widely available and accessible within the organization.
