Exploring Innovation with Double Diamond

→ Discover
→ Define
→ Develop
→ Deliver

It is key to Design Thinking workshops as a leading visualisation of the design process.

👉 Discover
The process begins by identifying the broad, general problem. This phase is characterised by extensive research and divergent thinking, where every idea is valued to understand the challenge entirely. It's inspired by Toyota's "Five Whys" approach, digging into the problem's core to uncover needs.

👉 Define
This phase moves from looking at broad ideas to identifying the exact issue. It uses "How might we..." statements to narrow our focus and prepare for ideation.

👉 Develop
Here, creativity is unleashed as we brainstorm possible solutions without restrictions. It's a phase for imaginative ideas rather than immediate solutions.

👉 Deliver
This last step involves creating a model of the solution and carefully evaluating it to make sure it really addresses the problem we identified.

The Double Diamond approach to innovation helps us fully understand and solve problems. It also includes input from those affected within the organization, leading to better results.
