I just finished AI 2041. Here’s why you should read it. 👇🏽

1. It brings AI examples to life

It combines imaginative storytelling with scientific forecasting. The two writers are experts in their field, making it both insightful and engaging. Not into boring reads? Neither. This won’t disappoint.

2. The horizon is just under 20 years away

The book poses the question, "How will artificial intelligence change our world within 20 years? Not 50 or 100 years away. (To be honest, even 20 years out feels like a long time with this technology.) But it is aiming at realistic changes, not speculative possibilities.

3. It looks at the benefits as well as the challenges

It’s easy to look out at our world and focus on the negative. Wars, climate, challenges. This book had me feeling some surprising optimism about what’s possible, particularly with medicine, education, and value creation.

4. There are key areas to pay attention to on the journey

Some things stood out, like our inherent bias in programming and training, the challenges of our current social order, and the implications for war.

There’s good food for thought to pay attention to as we shape the AI journey.

5. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft recommends it. 😉

Ok, so this isn’t the main thing... But the fact that he’s read it and has this to say gives it a bit of kudos, right?
